How to Pork Roast

Growing up, pork roast was a common dinner item. My mother never taught me how to cook a pork roast, but I watched several times, and have since cooked it myself many many times.

I read about pan roasting, looked online for pork roast recipes and pork shoulder recipes. Luckily the internet is wealth of information when it comes to pork, and pork roast recipes as the art of cooking a good pork roast seem to be dying.

Getting a good pork loin is just the first step. Deciding what type of pork roast meal you are going to cook influences your choices. There are many good pork roast recipes out there displaying everything from Fire Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Maple Horseradish Glaze to Pan Grilled Cajun Pork Tenderloin with Bourbon Mushrooms.

Cooking roast pork is not like cooking prime rib, or a steak. Some of techniques are very different, and rewarding. Moist cooking keeps the roast tender and moist. Most of all have fun cooking this delicious "other white" meat.
